      Avoid Finance...

      Pros

      Product is cool, location in SF is cool, other teams are cool...

      Cons

      FACT: Over the past 2 years they've lost over 12+ people in the Finance department FACT: There is zero work/life balance (they will call you at night, on weekends, on vacations...) FACT: They don't pay competitively FACT: Management doesn't back or develop their direct reports FACT: They manage your exit and basically write what you tell your coworkers on why you left FACT: Management talks poorly about their team (yes their own team!?) to anyone that will listen FACT: All this has been under the same Finance leadership team....

      Pros

      Technology is interesting and that is all.

      Cons

      No opportunity for growth. Unsupportive management that isn't checked and trickles all the way down from executive level to entry level management. Do not expect development or recognition of hard work (via title or pay). What you should expect is empty promises, which will not come to fruition.

      Was My Dream Job...

      Pros

      -Amazing coworkers -Opportunities to explore new ideas and time to further develop them -Fantastic benefits (healthcare, meals, parties, beer on tap!) -Charlie Hite (the newest executive) is fantastic and truly cares about his employees. It was refreshing to see him promoted to an executive position.

      Cons

      -Little understanding or concern for disciplines outside of robotics -If you are a non-engineer seek work elsewhere -Few opportunities for promotion, Anki prefers to hire outside the company than to promote from within -Anki's next project looks grim
