I have been working at Apple full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

-Good pay with generous RSU for good performers. -Lots of things to learn. -You can directly see the impact of your work to the customers. -Good benefits. -Lots of interesting problems to solve. -Great Employee Discount for Apple products.

    Cons

-Aggressive deadline to finish the project, hence WLB can be bad. -Benefits are good, but not as good as other tech companies. -Working directly on consumer products means you need to work extra hard to meet the Apple standard which is very high.

I worked at Apple full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Discounts for products and services.

    Cons

Lots of politics at the management level especially some power hungry Caucasian leaders who don’t do much work but create a lot of politics.

    Advice to Management

Ask your employees how they are feeling with the senior leaders in Apple RCC Singapore. Top down culture sucks.

    I worked at Apple full-time

    Pros

Was lucky to have met good managers. Projects and system improvements move at a great speed for such a big company. You work with really smart people and great welfare.

    Cons

No bonus. If you want to move faster in your career, you definitely need to schmooze around, make small talks and know people. It can be a nightmare for introverts.

    Advice to Management

Maybe there can be more focus on letting people work on their strengths instead of their weaknesses. Let them be real experts in their fields before making everyone be jack of all trades as it tends to kill their passion real quick.

I have been working at Apple full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Overall its a great place to work, awesome colleagues, brilliant minds Travel in business class when fly more than 10 hours for everyone Travel benefits - can claim up to US$100 per day for meal etc. 4 months full paid maternity leaves in APAC countries, and 12 months full paid maternity leave in Europe.

    Cons

Each business group works in their own silo, you need to talk to each person to find out who is doing what, no official channel providing such information. All important decisions are made in headquarters (they call WW), and passed onto regional offices. Not transparent, line manager can block information in-between, and not sharing important informations to play power games. No opportunity to learn and grow, instead you need constantly contribute ideas to the company, this may only happen in certain business groups. Office bullying from senior manager or senior coworkers (eg. internal client), which needs a lot of kiss ups. Too many tools in each business group, either bought from 3rd part, or internal developed, tools get replaced too soon, waste a lot of money and manpower! Well, Apple has a lot of cash to waste, so I guess that's not a problem for them now. Office politics / interest groups, eg. the whole team of senior managers are ex-colleagues. Employee feedback is not taken seriously, every year the employee survey is like show, no action is taken to address the issues after the survey, even they told you the survey is anonymous the result for each group is still shared within the groups - they narrow down the survey result to each business group, the manager just laugh about it, don't mention about employee feedbacks against the manager. Manager use fake numbers to present to senior management or executive team, modify the actual number to make it look nice to get more fund.

I have been working at Apple full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

The company as a whole is an awesome place to work at. Great benefit, health, pay, personal development Great work life balance.

    Cons

The company as a whole is an awesome place to work at. Fake senior local management team. Fake sincerity, and a display of dictatorship. Whenever there is feedback from the floor, we are encouraged to take it outside of the documentation. Leaving only the good looking scores (which are mostly about the company as a whole, not the specific organisation they are working in).

    Advice to Management

Sometimes the score card of your senior management team are not the true reflection of how the team feel.
