Was a great place to work till the pandemic

Pros

The people I worked with were great- even could say like a family. AstroNova used to be such a fun place to work.

Cons

Poor management style. Zoom meetings seemed like they were every week about nothing. When something needs to be communicated it’s not. There was one manager who was very condescending, and a micromanager. Major favoritism in my role. The workload was overwhelming. The benefits were terrible even though they made it sound wonderful. Customers were angry about all the delays that weren’t communicated.

I worked here for two years. The pay and benefits were average. I don't have much else to say about this place. It is family owned and the people in the top positions are there because of who they know and not what they know. Do not expect to advance. This is not the place to get promotions based on your merit.

Cons

Office politics. The people in the top positions do not have a clue. They are there because of who they know or that they have been there for a quarter of a century or more. The atmosphere is very cliquey and they do not take to newcomers readily.

Cons

Poor leadership. Micromanagement. Low pay. Taken advantage of. False hope from management and incentives for their gain.
