Pros

If you worked hard for Avoca, you were rewarded well. Great brand and core values permeated throughout the staff. Compared to other large Irish owned companies, the long-term employee is highly valued in Avoca and the Pratt family were really genuine and lovely people to work for. Only one member of the family was difficult to deal with.

Cons

Career Opportunities were lacking. Long hours lead to a barren home life, especially during holiday periods when a lot is expected of staff but as a manager, the rewards were available. Most senior management were great but one member in particular was very difficult to deal with and did not treat staff in a very professional manner.

Pros

Free Lunchand 2 coffees. A lot of nice people to work with in head office, brought together by working for horrible bosses. Staff in Kilmac store are great, make great coffees.

Cons

Bosses are not nice whatsoever. Month end is insane Systems are crap. Can be tough getting holidays approved.
