Howdy Doodie

Pros

Good quality paint, free lunch, and let's face with our inept executive team, we're not exactly attracting the best of breed talent. Why is this a positive? Because it's easy to look like a rock star in a company with such a low bar.

Cons

Our CEO is a nice enough person, but in the office he's known as howdy doodie. He's become the puppet of our CAO and our new "cough, cough" CMO and struggles mightily making the simplest of decisions. Our market share has eroded to the point that Benjamin Moore's become irrelevant and it's getting worse ever year. Morale is almost as bad as the Denis Abrams days and most of my colleagues are miserable and looking to get out.

Pros

Free lunch that's about all the pros here. Nice corporate building to work in everyday. Would be nice to work as hard as we do and be appreciated a little more.

Cons

This has got to be a bad joke. Whose genius idea was it to make an incompetent CIO the CMO? Has anyone looked at his resume? He has zero marketing experience and has a horrible reputation in the IT department. So move him to marketing? Does he have something on the CEO and CAO that they now made him the CMO? This just doesn't make any sense to me and many many others! You really must want to see your company slowly dissolve. When it was announced who the new CMO was I think every single person in the company thought it was a very bad April Fools joke but in June. Let's see how long this will last and how many people will get fired in the marketing department for asking questions or disagree with him.
