Pros

I have been encouraged to learn and grow and have been equipped and supported in doing so by my supervisors and leadership. The principles and code of ethics are in alignment with my views of a workplace, being curious, accountability, shared ownership, and collaboration being a handful of my favorites. The people I work with are great, each possessing strength and talents that allow us to come together in a way that helps offset areas of weakness and encourages growth. To be honest, when Return to Office was announced, I had gotten so comfortable being at home, that I failed to recognize benefits to coming into the office, and now that I am back, I am excited to be back at the office. Here I have one responsibility: My job. I have greater focus and an environment that is in the process of adapting to a new normal. I truly appreciate the effort in creating a more personable and welcoming atmosphere than before the mandated work from home.

Cons

There are always going to be growing pains in leadership transitions. There will be a period of getting to know others and how they work and thrive in the workplace and the best way to support a wide variety of professionals. The return to office announcement could have been handled very differently, however leadership has also gone to great lengths to help make that transition back to office easier. I am a firm believer in time will tell how this change will overall impact the company, but I am going into all this starting at curious and doing what I can in my role to make that transition, both the RTO and the leadership changes, as easy as I can for those I come in contact with on a daily basis. The uncertainty of how much change occurs and how it is implemented is really the only con I can think of at this point.

Strong parent company with a great vision and history. People know the company if they are in the industry. Benefits are strong and pay is on par with the big 4. Upper management are clear about what they are trying to accomplish. Consulting Division is young and still trying to find itself but working hard to do it.

Cons

Client selection is unfocused. They do not have a clear vision of where they fit in the market. Engineering and Tech focus is clear but miss or undervalue the other parts of the Consulting practice. Capture/Service arms are far to interconnected. Due to aquisitions there are many leaders in positions beyond their skills. Also many of the onsite leaders on projects are out of their depth and it makes the day to day highly ineffective. High Standards are often not needed because good enough is good enough.

Strong values, good remuneration, you trust your colleagues, culture continues to be a lot more open and the company is certainly planning and acted on the head winds our industry faces

Great intentions and only criticism is whether we can continue to deliver on strategies in a time of great change for the E&C industry
