Pros

-The pay is good - I wish I had more pros but there genuinely aren’t any, I hope the company grows more

Cons

- Shifts are very random, inconsistent - coordinators are extremely disrespectful, have huge attitudes and struggle when it comes to working with people -Sometimes I would not receive pay and would have to email and text several people to get my pay - Clearly show they do not care about PSW’s just need them for the company -once did not pay me around $700 of work for 4 weeks in a row -very spiteful coordinators, too immature for the job -the reviews here are most likely done by office employees

Thank you for the detailed feedback. BookJane provides a GIG economy for caregivers to work when and how often they would like to work. Shifts are dependent on our customer needs, but we are looking to continually grow our customer base. Our platform is automated based on established processes to accept shifts and how to clock in and out of shifts through our mobile app such that we can ensure proper payments are made on a bi-weekly basis. Our support team is here to provide support and to ensure that you are paid on a timely basis, but often we would have discrepancies that we must reconcile with our customers. We monitor our support team and always look to provide constructive feedback. It is unfortunate that you have had the negative experiences that you have outlined, but there are hundreds of caregivers who rely on BookJane for their income. We would love the opportunity to explore some of your feedback in detail. Please reach out to us directly if you are open to helping us improve our customer support team.

Only good if you are on the engineering/tech side

Pros

1. Genuinely a great product/overall solution that many people can benefit from 2. Tech side gets tons of exposure in terms of projects and responsibilities 3. Pay is at a good level 4. Lots of career advancement opportunities

Cons

I get the impression that the market sizing and needs analysis, in the beginning, is not conducted as thoroughly as it should've been. There is a lot of unrealistic expectations in terms of the ACTUAL addressable market and growth potential. This makes generating sales and leads through marketing especially difficult. If you are not on the tech side, get ready for a real challenge. If you can get the company to achieve its sales objectives you are something special. The current market makes it incredibly hard to be successful in marketing/sales. If you are in a management role under those departments, those weekly leadership meetings are "roast" sessions as to why you haven't achieved anything yet.

Hi there, Thank you. All feedback is appreciated, especially ones that are as detailed as yours. We are reviewing internally and will look to make improvements where we can. As you did put a lot of thought into your feedback, I do want to address some of the comments and elaborate as necessary. Setting sales targets and expectations is hard. As you have noted, our solution can benefit many people and believe most healthcare facilities throughout Canada. This has been validated by existing customers and many associations representing most senior living facilities in Ontario, BC and Alberta. This is a pretty significant addressable market. Unfortunately, since early 2020, In spite of our best efforts to demonstrate the benefits of our solution, all healthcare facilities have had to focus on the day-to-day challenges of the pandemic. We are now starting to see more organizations adopt technologies like ours to help with their labour challenges going forward, but it will take time. Saying that, we will make sure that we balance expectations of growth and the realities of the current market conditions. In regards to our prioritization of technology, we are a technology company and we have worked hard to create a unique solution in the healthcare space. We will always need to focus on technology, but with our expanding customer base, we are investing more and more in our sales and our customer success teams. As a matter of fact, we have many sales and customer success opportunities available. I also want to comment on our town halls. Our team has doubled in size over the last 12 months with all new hires and onboarding done virtually. With everyone working from home, town halls are crucial for us to share our progress and provide an opportunity for all to ask questions and share thoughts. I do believe it is important for us to be aligned on our values, goals and objectives, but I do appreciate the feedback and will look to ensure alignment by other means. Thank you, Curtis Khan, CEO and Founder

First thank you for sharing your thoughts. I'd like to quickly address your concerns regarding BookJane and myself as the CEO of BookJane. Some feedback is very hard to hear, but I do take all feedback seriously. I do try to be transparent and direct while navigating the growth of BookJane, but we are all growing and learning together, myself included. I have certain accountability to our fellow staff members, clients and to our shareholders, and sometimes not all things can be shared. Saying that, I have been striving to talk to every employee individually on a regular basis and if we have the opportunity to connect, we can have an open conversation on any topic. We also have our town halls and numerous Slack channels that you can get additional insights into any decisions that we make. All leadership team members are also readily available to provide clarity or insight into any decisions we make, so please do feel free to reach out to any one of them. Yours Sincerely, Curtis Khan CEO and Founder
