Aggressive Work Environment

Pros

They are very open to hiring foreign employees.

Cons

There is a great deal of inappropriate behavior by management. Employees are openly screamed at, ridiculed and spoken down to. The office culture is more like a fraternity/soroity with cliques who will openly scorn and snub others.

Poor management

Pros

Freedom. There is a lot of it. For better or worse, but you can actually do something that you want to do (if you push for it).

Cons

Salaries are way below the market. No appreciation for the work done, the best you can get is a "great job" or some moose toy (or maybe a lightsaber). Communicating between teams is like fighting the wind - time consuming and pointless. A simple task can be hanging for weeks and only if you are pushing for it, otherwise the task will be lost in the backlog. Management is not clear on anything, even though there are 1000+ employees, nobody really knows where the company is going. All the decisions are done spontaneously and, it seems, irrationally.

Pros

Ok e worked in different teams within Boozt, just one was nice, the others were toxic

Cons

Well, they fired many employees just because the company grew 10-15% instead of 20-25%, so that’s a start. The CEO said that no one dies of COVID, and he compared the staff to a football team, he said that a football team cannot work if they play from home, so we could not work from home either (office jobs were working from home or the office makes no difference). The management is not good at all, it’s impossible to understand what are the goals of the company, they do something like buying a whole new company and then fire their own employees. The teams are a Russian roulette, some are toxic, I personally saw episodes of mobbing, forcing people to work for more hours than they were paid for, and being micromanaged to the point of exasperation.

Thank you for your review and feedback. We are sorry to hear that this has been your experience. Our continued success depends on our employees feeling valued. This includes creating a healthy work environment and doing our best to create clarity about our mission and vision for all employees, e.g. by monthly staff meetings and an “open door policy” for C-level as well as managers. We do not tolerate harassment in any form, and we naturally always act according to our employee code of conduct, if we learn about potential harassment through our anonymous whistle-blower channel or in meetings with our union representatives. We have at all times followed government guidelines during the covid-19 pandemic. When working from our offices, we took all precautionary measures to protect employees from contamination. At Boozt, we value working together in - and across - teams from our welcoming office spaces as we believe it fosters greater idea generation, creativity as well as contributes significantly to sustain our Care-Why culture and a an overall healthy work environment.
