Pros
I left a Job to go to Brand.com because I was made to believe that they were revolutionizing the PR industry. Boy was I sold. When you're hired by Brand.com they portray the company as this excellent start-up with a big open office in the heart of center city, fully stocked kitchen, flat screen TV's everywhere, and happy hour meetings every Friday.
All just smoke and mirrors!!
The CEO and Founder are a bunch of crooks. They are the type of people who don't care who they screw over as long as it gets them to the top. The position i was hired for wasn't even the position i applied for. Before coming to Brand.com i had plenty of previous sales experience but was told i had to start at an Analyst position first to learn the ins and the outs and I would move up in no time. No Big Deal. Only problem was there was no management. Everything was pretty much trial and error, and even when you go above and beyond what your quotas are, there is no reward system.
Usually that wouldn't be a big deal, because hey you get paid to do a job. However, when your promised in your interview all this money your going to be making, plus you've been there for 3 months, been promised promotions, and you don't even get paid on time, Than there comes a time when enough is enough.
I won't go into much more detail because there is mounds upon mounds of shady business going on in this place. end result of my experience there was that after multiple times of being told how important the Analyst department was, they decide to lay everyone off with no notice. We were told that now and quote "We are no longer needed, because the company is going in a different direction."
Real smooth move geniuses. We were one of the biggest sources for your lead generation. At least we kept the consultants busy. No one could sell anything there anyway, which I don't blame them for. I Blame a CEO and Founder for trying to sell a product that most people already have, and a company no one has ever even heard of.
Cons
Everything. Don't work for these scam artists. There's a right way to do business, and their ways are not ethical. I hope that whoever attempts to do business with this company doesn't make the same mistake that I did and believe in their broken promises, because it won't end well.
