Utterly negative, toxic workplace and no professional growth

Pros

-If you are not ambitious and just need a paycheck then it could be your place to work. -Laid back-attitude in most positions. Most of the positions don't have much work to do but the personnel occupying them have to be creative and showoff themselves as super busy to justify the job. -Work-life balance is OK

Cons

-No professional growth options. Once you are stuck in a position, you can literally retire in the same position, as there is no realistic and fair talent management system in place. -Job promotion and staffing is biased and mostly pre-determined. Most of the time there is no point in competing as appointments are generally predisposed towards hiring somebody already favored. -The ratio of managers and their administrative staff is ridiculously high in comparison to actual front line employees. -Highly incompetent and discriminatory management at the local director levels. -Lots of back-biting,unethical and gossip prone workplaces, as official networking is not that much promoted.

Pros

None. The last good manager left in 2008.

Cons

Racism against people of color and indigenous people is common but quietly brushed under the rug here. Sexism is common but quietly hidden here. Heard a female manager say they didn’t want to hire women because of mat leave. There is frequent nepotism here. Mgmt and directors hire their friends, relatives and spouses over qualified candidates. A lot of this stems from HR. They protect the management.
