Pros

I used to work at CircleUp and was consistently blown away by my impressive colleagues working towards the company’s mission to support early stage CPG entrepreneurs. As a member of one of the business teams, I felt as though I had the resources to learn technical concepts in order to properly make use of Helio, the company’s machine learning platform. And whenever I had questions for my engineering or data science teammates, they were incredibly patient, helpful, knowledgeable, and generous with their time. Across the various business teams, professionals consistently put the needs of entrepreneurs first and developed creative financing solutions to help support their growth. I made wonderful friends at circleup, and I look forward to watching this innovative and disruptive company continue to grow!

Cons

I loved getting to collaborate with engineers and data scientists, I think business and product team members should continue to collaborate in a formal capacity and learn from each other!

Feel *so proud* to work on the product team

Pros

+ I work on the Product team. On this team (similar to other technical teams), we don't get the chance to interact with folks externally every week to get a sense of how disruptive the work we're really doing is. A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to attend the GHC conference in Houston and had a giant line of people waiting to hear from me and my all-star technical team (shoutout to the truly amazing, inspiring women I get to work with everyday!). We're doing some pretty *incredible* work technically, and I felt so proud to share tips and tricks with Google, Amazon, Microsoft, and so many other tech companies in our area and around the country. + I actually like the people I work with. The team here are friends just as much as we are co-workers. I hang out with them on the weekends and can't wait to see them every Monday morning. + One of things that keeps me here for years to come: the learning curve never ends. I get to walk across the room and learn from data scientists, engineers, investors, and credit experts. There's always something to do. Impact to be had. This organization is what you make of it. How excited you get to solve our problems. I'm so excited to be a part of this journey, writing the roadmap. One of the huge reasons I decided to work here over one of my other large, tech company offers.

Cons

+ I wish we had more conversations with our tech community here in the Bay area to share best practices across our pipeline.
