Pros

None after insight into company

Cons

Unrealistic deadlines and unnecessary pressure brought on by other internal departments Hours and duties outside of scope not recognised by management Large employee turnover No direction or SOP guidelines to structure support for customers Every internal communication has to be taken with a pinch of salt since honesty is not a top priority for management and transparency is nowhere to be seen, no matter how much they speak about implementing it. In all, too much work for minimal salary and no recognition compared to market norms.

Pros

-Got the change to learn some new things as they don't give you much choice, since you're under pressure all time -Some colleagues are nice -Nice location

Cons

-Low payment (especially for young employees) unless you're good friends with the management -Nepotism -Mean and racist management that views people just as some robots which are expected to work any time they need, with no reward. Once they don't need you, they don't care despite the effort and sacrifices you did for the company -There is a lot of lying in the company especially about its product. Many don't really understand it because it's fundamentally useless, scammy and makes no sense once you look close at it (in my opinion). But as a normal employee, you're shown just the good parts - Don't be fooled by the positive comments/reviews, it's mostly done by employees. They have a good marketing team and know how to fake their image

Promising Concept Marred by Serious Shortcomings

Pros

The core concept of real-time pricing has potential and could cater to a specific market.

Cons

***Career Limitations for Non-Dutch Speakers: Opportunities for non-Dutch speakers are severely restricted, primarily due to glaring favoritism in promotions, particularly within the Amsterdam office. ***Cultural Insensitivity in Management: The company's predominantly Dutch management demonstrates a lack of cultural sensitivity. ***Decision-making often ignores the diversity of global markets. ***Profit Over Quality: Convious frequently prioritizes cost-cutting over product quality and usability, which is contrary to its SAAS label. ***Incoherent Product and User Experience: The product is a disjointed collection of features, many of which are incomplete or poorly designed. Users often find the product's functionality counterintuitive. ***Lack of Sales Knowledge: The sales team frequently sells the platform without a comprehensive understanding of its capabilities, leading to unfulfilled promises. ***Average Pay, Sparse Benefits and Bonuses: Employee benefits are virtually nonexistent, and the promise of "unlimited vacation" often results in less time off. ***Bonuses are rarely seen. The pay is quite low considering the workload, and job titles and descriptions often do not align with actual job responsibilities. ***Focus is on Management Self-Interest: The management, following Dutch traditions, prioritizes short-term profits over customer satisfaction and lacks a clear vision or ideals. High management seldom admits to their own errors and often deflects blame. ***Inadequate Communication and Documentation Hindered by Geographical Barriers: Communication is often difficult ( especially with the development team which is based in Lithuania), confused, and requires constant follow-ups to ensure tasks are completed. The company lacks clear procedures and documentation, leading to inconsistent practices and knowledge gaps when employees depart. ***Exclusivity Towards Non-Dutch Speakers: Non-Dutch speakers are often excluded from conversations and opportunities, creating a non-inclusive environment. ***Poorly Handled Layoffs: Recent layoffs were executed poorly, with vague announcements followed by abrupt terminations, without customary farewell gestures. ***Summary: Convious's appealing core concept is overshadowed by a multitude of issues, from career limitations for non-Dutch speakers to cultural insensitivity in management and a relentless focus on profit over quality. Employee benefits and bonuses are sparse, and communication and documentation are lacking. The company's culture is not inclusive, and layoffs are handled poorly. Proceed with caution.
