Pay and opportunities are limited but health benefits/time off are excellent

Pros

Nice Building, good security, every department is different depending on the Manager. Get a good manager, your experience will probably be OK. The Health plan and coverage is good. Employees have $0 premiums and get reimbursed the difference over standard deductible if in-plan deductible rises. Sick-time and personal time are very good and HR department is excellent. They are usually willing to work with you to borrow future sick/personal time if you have extenuating circumstances in a given year and you are out of PTO. I had a medical issue with my child when I was out of sick and personal time and both my manager and HR were very helpful and flexible with my time away from work. Starting Vacation time is 2 weeks, 12 sick days and 2 personal days. This helps make up for the lack of regular performance based pay increases and lack of bonuses.

Cons

Advancement opportunities are few and far between. Salaries are frequently frozen and performance reviews delayed. There are zero opportunities for bonuses.
