Pros

- Pay is relatively competitive - Certifications encouraged but not required

Cons

- Turnover rate is high, can't seem to keep technicians around for long - Illegal and overreaching company policies you're required to sign and agree to - Absurdly inconsistent hours, often long hours per day - Poorly timed schedules - Husband and wife duopoly at top of company i.e. no checks and balances - Technicians often have to work solo without support from dispatch - Dispatch (in charge of accepting and scheduling jobs) isn't well-informed on technicians' individual capabilities - CEO foists his religion onto others and is generally an emotionally inconsistent hothead

Pros

* Company vehicle * Better IT work than what is generally available in Virginia's Piedmont region * Exposure to wide array of: - geographic settings throughout the Commonwealth - subject matter areas of IT field service * Contributions to numerous area churches and other charitable organizations

Cons

* High turnover amongst office staff and technicians * Little to no training on internal processes & expectations or work processes & standards * Numerous unhinged e-mail messages from CEO threatening termination in response to negative reports * Midday changes to a technician's schedule without warning * Total absence of after-hours support for technicians despite dispatching of them to work said hours * In addition to a non-disclosure agreement, new hires must sign a non-compete agreement barring similar work within a 300-mile radius for a period of three years * Continuous requests to technicians for missing deliverables for a given work order irrespective of which technician worked it * Progressive discipline policy for absolutely any discrepancy in conduct or performance begins with "Performance Improvement Plan" which inaccurately states failure of the Plan necessarily disqualifies an employee from receiving unemployment benefits (Virginia law disqualifies claimants for two reasons: resignation without good cause and gross misconduct) * Overnight hotel reimbursement limited to $65/night * No company-issued debit or credit cards: all purchases must be submitted to accounting for reimbursement in next paycheck * Higher-value tools used on a frequent basis exist in limited quantity (as opposed to being issued to every technician) and must be checked out from office equipment room * Office building is in need of overhaul or remodel: basic fixtures such as restroom fans and toilets do not function as designed
