Why do you need my salary history?

Pros

Seemed very energetic and friendly up until I couldn't provide salary history for one position.

Cons

Got extremely upset when I explained that I'd signed a non-disclosure agreement that required me not to discuss my salary. Accused me of lying, saying that they had never heard of this. I've signed one of these in about half of my jobs...

Pros

There are few if any pros other than that they are in a hot market

Cons

In this company you should expect to be paid at least 50% below market value and way below what other employers are willing to pay. The salary expectation is $40k for a job paying around $60k anywhere else. Further they do not paint an accurate picture of your ability to succeed and instead make it hazy on what realistic expectations are for success/income. Their leadership is passive aggressive and cares more about what clothes you are wearing than how you are improving. From there it only gets worse as their business model is outdated and prevents people from being paid what they are worth. The most glaring example of what to expect when working for them is this story which multiple previous employees can attest to its accuracy. One employee was called "ungrateful little B**h" because the team lead disagreed with his approach. Point being this is quite possibly the most toxic work environment that exists in Denver today. This is not an organization you would every want to work for point blank.

Thank you for your candid response. Although it hurts in the gut to receive feedback such as this, it is something we take very seriously as an organization and will do everything in our power to improve. Even though EdgeLink has received numerous awards for customer service over the years (Diamond Award Winner for 5 consecutive years of achievement) for serving our external customers, this is does not guarantee us a positive experience for everyone. We can only achieve such recognition through the incredible internal team we have built over the years. Obviously for us to continue our success in the industry, we must improve each day, think outside the box and be open to suggestions. I'm sorry your experience with EdgeLink was not what you hoped it would be, and we wish you the best in your future endeavors.

Thank you for your honest feedback and the time you took to complete this review. Our leadership team is dedicated to making sure every EdgeLink employee feels appreciated for their work and contributions. We work hard to maintain a respectful work environment, so it’s disappointing for us to hear that you had a negative experience. It's true—having multiple work locations can be challenging, and our team is constantly working to improve our processes and find ways to communicate better across state lines. We’ve recently invested in several collaboration technologies to foster increased communication among our worksites, in hopes that we can be an even better company. We believe we provide adequate training and are continuously asking for feedback around how it can be more effective. We encourage employees to request additional training if needed, as we invest a lot of resources into ramping up our newest employees in their first year with us. It’s important to us that our employees are successful. We strive to offer some of the best benefits in the industry, and if our benefits package did not meet your needs, we value that feedback. Our leadership team reviews our benefit offerings on an annual basis, and it’s our goal to offer a package that is fair and inclusive to all employees. I would love to discuss your concerns further, so please reach out to me directly at jeff@edgelink.com
