Good salary, overtime and other benefits.

Toxic environment were nepotism is rife in middle management. Working overtime is not an option but a requirement due insufficient staff. Health and safety is mearly a tick box and there is no real interest in creating a safe working environment. Don't question just do, because question anything is seen as a threat. Quality of equipment is a disgrace and thus very difficult to be proud of working for this company. Money is their only priority, so take anything that say with a pinch of salt, as if it cost money, they wont do it.

Amazing support from the team leader and management with work and personal issues. Great bonus scheme to top up the salary. Good health benefits Good location with shops and cafes locally for food. Job is straight forward with good systems built to make the job as easy as possible. If you like a busy fast paced workplace it’s perfect as you’re constantly under pressure. Same tasks every but tackles transport issues daily. Great people to work with sold team in two years labour turnover pretty low. Location was straight off the motorway so easy to get to. A food van came every morning and we could go get some breakfast Breaks were split into 15 30 and 15 mins. Different tasks and well organised. I enjoyed learning so much at this company. Had a work phone so could switch off from work when you wasn’t there. There would be cover for you if you was off so no backlog was created for being on holiday.

Stressful at times. Drivers and engineers get angry but they get away with it. Told me I was rubbish at my job. Hourly pay worked out quite low if no bonus was paid as it was 45hour a week. Location wasn’t terrible but wasn’t great. Some staff worked over time at home for not additional pay or time back. Each person was given their own depots but some definitely had harder areas but with no extra pay however they were very secretive on this so they could have been different salaries in the room. Drivers started at 4-6am but we didn’t till 8am so if there were any problems first thing they would have to sort themselves or speak with directors or nothing this would create problems as soon as we walked through the door. Maybe have 1 member of staff dedicated to starting at 4am to cover these issues as an in house breakdown manager for the drivers.
