The leadership is a failure. I experienced verbal harassment and discrimination while there and was forced to quit. - Anonymous employee AccessAbility Employee Review

Pros

The hourly staff are incredibly loyal and the clients, inspiring. They are what make the organization. If it weren't for them, AccessAbility wouldn't exist.

Cons

The leadership at accessability is horrendous. Not only did I experience extreme verbal abuse, but discrimination based on my political views. I also witnessed extremely shady business practices as well.

Pros

I look forward to work everyday, which makes it not seem like “work” at all.

Cons

Pay, however, in this field the set rate is lower than a typical “office job”.

Pros

Great mission, supports those in need, and is overall rewarding/meaningful work. Retirement matching is great.

Cons

Layoffs. I was laid off exactly when my hiring bonus was supposed to be paid out. (I did get the bonus, but timing was questionable.) In some departments, there is practically no training and hardly any communication whatsoever. Lack of feedback on job performance. PTO not comparable to other non-profits. They typically do not allow for unpaid time off (only allowed for long-term illnesses and "extreme circumstances").
