Pros

-a ton of opportunities for feedback from your peers and managers -if you're a people person, you'll learn to connect with plenty to different personalities -for students straight out of college, this is a great place to dip into an industry (although this industry is not for all graduates) -I've never seen a company pay their employees this well for the level of responsibility and skills they require from their internal workforce -they have a great ATS, that allows you to organize your portfolio of candidates and contacts -your office coworkers may turn out to be great friends since you spend most of your time and days with

Cons

-it's a call center culture (in the "pit", way too many times was I told to pick up the phone and call candidates while I was documenting phone call conversions and preparing notes for an upcoming meeting or interview with a candidate) -extremely looonnnngggg days, you have no idea how many 10-12 hour days I was asked to work because the office wasn't meeting our goals. I was asked to work on Saturdays when I didn't meet my weekly goals even after all the long days -no work-life balance, again, they require long days and all your time -you may be put in difficult positions putting candidates in jobs they shouldn't be in only to satisfy the need of your clients and end up having your candidate be fired because "they didn't do what they were supposed to", you have no idea how many times I've told my account manager the feedback my contractor provided me so that they can also improve the clients workplace and my account manager didn't communicate that to the client because they want to make the client happy

Pros

Great people, great training, great entry level opportunity to get into recruiting and sales. If you are successful you will make more here than about anywhere else. Performing Recruiters are making $55k-$75k. Great Recruiters are making $100k+. Every large office has salespeople making $200k-$400k. Culture is 100% committed and generally cool type-A's you would want to have a beer with. The skills, drive, and sense of urgency you learn at Aerotek serve you well anywhere you may go later.

Cons

If you are just looking for a low-commitment 8-5 job while posting on social media about where you are partying that night...you will not like Aerotek. Success requires an all in approach both in work ethic and active support of the culture. That is not for everyone. There are Political Science grads 3 years out of college making $200k+, but there is a price to be paid. All the tough work comes first. If you are not up for the level of work and commitment, Aerotek is not for you. If you are, none of this is really a "con" As far a real cons go, the benefits are only OK, and finding work/life balance is pretty difficult.
