Pros

Great coworkers, easy schedule, easy job. Love the people coming to stay, my coworkers are easy to get along with, and it seems like the work that we are doing pays off.

Cons

Every time the owner comes in, the mood plummets. He has no idea how to manage any of the people working there, has no idea what the front desk position even does, and refuses to spend any money to fix any of the real problems at the hotel. For example, when there was black mold in the pool room, he refused to let us close the pool, and he only allowed for maintenance to do a patch-up job. Dangerous and stupid.

Corporate employees generally care about their role in the overall success of the individual hotels they serve as well as the guests and the overall reputation of the company

Cons

Corporate restructuring has changed the level and quality of corporate support available to successful hotels due to much focus on underperforming locations which further erodes the quality and reputation of the brand
