Pros
I was hired on in October and found myself promoted within 3 weeks. I love that this company only promotes from within. There is no need to worry that someone who does not understand the company will be moved into a supervisory or corporate position. There is definite room for self improvement and growth for anyone coming on board with no previous call center experience. If you have more to bring to the table, you are regarded as a gem and treated with respect; recognized for what you have to offer. There is a sense of family with Overstock.com that I have never felt while working with another company.
Cons
At this time, I can't think of any. I love the fact that there is not a lot of stress in regards to "accidental overtime". If you have an hour or two posted to your paycheck, you aren't reeemed for it. Also, I have worked previously in a call center environment. You are allowed to document the reasons why you were not following your schedule and the information is updated in the system. You are treated like an adult and are not faced with disciplinary action for things that are not in your realm of control.
