Booking.com Response
6yThank you for sharing your feedback and we were sorry to hear about your experience here with us. This is certainly not the colleague experience we are striving for.
We take reports of harassment seriously and we're disappointed to hear that you feel you have been exposed to this behaviour in your office. Please contact your HR Business Partner or our compliance helpline if you wish to make a complaint – your call will be completely confidential. We also want to assure you that every report of harassment is fully investigated. Due to confidentiality, we aren't always able to provide updates back. In your situation it sounds like it took a long time. We are assessing how we can better communicate any developments in the future.
Please know we take your concerns about management seriously and that we have a clear policy on favouritism and strict policy on internal promotions in our code of conduct. Misconduct of these policies are not tolerated and will have consequences. In fact, we have already taken many steps to ensure everyone is assessed fairly and consistently. We want all our colleagues to enjoy the same opportunities for growth and development and we are making significant investments in our manager training to help ensure fairness and consistency (and to be less exposed to the perceived "pot luck" you are referring to - meaning how your career progresses based on which team you join).
If you would like to know more about what's being done, or would like to voice your concerns directly, please feel free to contact us. These are challenging times for our industry and at Booking.com. While we are striving to do our best and our values should shine through everything we do, we are sorry to see that your experience has been different. We are here if you want to discuss it either in person, or anonymously through our helpline.
Thanks again for your feedback.
