Pros

The department I work in perpetually evolving depending on what the market is doing and often exciting. Given the ability to interact with strategic suppliers as well as executives of each Brenntag location, travel occasionally, learn as much about the business that I inquire about. Given the ability to have flexible work hours when needed and my direct managers have always been supportive both professionally and personally. Overall I have learned A LOT working here, more than another place I have worked and have been rewarded for my hard work. I am pleased to still be working here. Brenntag has always been involved in the community and are open to new opportunities for involvement.

Cons

There is always room for improvement and many of the cons I have seen over the last 5+ years are starting to be addressed. Some of those cons are professional advancement and interview to hire process is very slow. Need to work on appealing more to the younger generation (IE: flex time, working remote, career path planning, advertise community involvement and communicate job opportunities that are open across the globe).

Pros

When I was able to finally put in my two weeks.

Cons

I could barely afford groceries on their salary. Terrible upper management, that sat around stroking their own egos and solving not one issue for the team. Upper management bullying. Was told for the first 6 months of working there that we were awful. Worked 12 hour days the first weeks in without one thank you. Gaslighting on a level I have never experienced. Zero opportunity for advancement. Would tell us no overtime for months, then pull us in the office and ask why we were not utilizing all the overtime we were allowed to use.
