Pros

great work life balance and office perks very social and a fun office environment felt close knit and that there were shared goals

Cons

After the merger, redundancies and restructuring left, right and centre loss of morale and team spirit, it seems Moonpig are chipping off the entire buyagift team bit by bit. It's no surprise that the heads of Marketing and Finance departments made swift exits after the original CEO stepped down. Nickyl the Moonpig CEO spouted a presentation full of lies in his welcome meeting and within weeks, tore through the team and took everyones morale with him. Departments didn't work together or share goals to allow improvement, tech took over and the other departments were shunned away. The full branding team and customer service teams were made redundant alongside so many other employees. It's ironic to see the reasons for these notable redundancies haven't panned out and there are numerous complaints on LinkedIn and other websites echoing this. I would have given 4 stars if based on my initial experience of Buyagift, however based on the current CEO and Moonpig group, I feel this wouldn't be an honest representation of what they are now.

Pros

Good for those who prefer a rigid, top-down instruction style and minimal autonomy.

Cons

The culture feels stuck in the early 20th century. There is a significant lack of modern resources and a total absence of long-term vision. Decision-making is bogged down by excessive layers of bureaucracy
