It's very surprising to read a former employee's negative review of our company, especially when we work so hard to provide a positive, rewarding experience here at CSG Solutions. While everyone's specific work experience may vary (I'm not sure when this employee worked for us) I'd like to thank this former employee for bringing up these issues they faced while working here and allow me to respond with some facts about our company.
"Poor benefits" - CSG offers a robust health plan with Cigna, which is at the Gold level based on ACA measurements, with CSG paying 50% of the premiums for both employee and family. We also offer dental, vision, and life insurance with MetLife and CSG pays 50% of those premiums as well. Anyone interested in additional insurance for themselves (up to $500K), their spouse (up to $100K), or their children (up to $10K) can elect those options as well, but those premiums are not subsidized by CSG. In addition, all employees and their dependents are enrolled in a free added benefit called the VisionAccess Saving Program, that offers an additional discount at participating providers as well as enrollment in the free LifeMart Employee Discounts, which offers deals on Travel, Entertainment, Wellness, Apparel and more. For more information, please contact Sarah Brazier, our Human Resources Manager at sarah.brazier@csg-isr.com.
"HR is a joke and nearly non-existent" - I'm personally not aware of a group of harder working professionals than our HR department. With the aforementioned benefits package coupled with the persistent recruiting, the onboarding of new hires, and staying abreast of the changing labor landscape laws, I'm very proud of their efforts and performance. Currently, we have 85 full-time employees at CSG and should be over 100 by summer of 2017, so our HR department continues to grow in order to keep pace with our expansion. Our HR Manager proudly earned a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Managment and maintains a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification and is more than qualified, as is the HR staff, to run our HR operations and we are a lucky company to have them.
"Poor communication to employees" - We currently have 85 full-time employees working on 4 continents, and several cities here in the US, many working shift work, with some even being rotational. This makes communication across the entire company a challenge and one that will continually evolve along with technological advances. Since last year, we have implemented WorkPlace by Facebook for company-wide communications, and as the name suggests, it operates like Facebook. This has allowed us to connect our whole organization with familiar tools, helping everyone in our business turn ideas into action, get information out to a broader audience in a much quicker way, and allows two-way instantaneous feedback. We will continue to grow the size of CSG and will continue to adapt with our company communications.
"Company is about numbers and not retainability" - This statement doesn't take in the reality of operating a successful company, especially one that has made the list of Inc 5000 Fastest Growing companies for 2015 and 2016. It takes a tremendous amount of labor and resources to find the right type of person that will fit with CSG's culture, work ethic, and dependability. To simply expend those limited resources in order to hire someone and then not care if they are happy, engaged, and challenged defies the basic principles of operating a business providing professional services to the Department of Defense, commercial enterprises, and non-profit organizations. We absolutely care about each and every member of the CSG team; we would be ecstatic if everyone stayed with CSG forever; and I believe our success and steady growth are proof that we are not a revolving door and we care very much about teammate retention.
"Poor management" - We are a small business and as such, we all have access to anyone in management, to include the CEO. All management has an open door for anyone; all managers are accessible via phone, email, and WorkPlace; and we put a lot of effort into our organizational operations as noted in the previous paragraphs. CSG is our people and without qualified, dependable teammates all working toward common goals, we would not be a successful company. All management welcomes feedback, criticism, and new ideas and I'm sorry this former employee didn't utilize all the resources available to them, come talk to management, and raise their concerns while they worked here.
