It can be a springboard in your career to other companies/positions as Siemens is a brand name. Certain products are well known in the industry and they have become market leaders with specific products.
Cons
The compliance processes impedes business and does not allow for any nimbleness or quick decisions. The company is run by finance and getting anything signed off takes weeks (if not months) even when it's been budgeted and planned. Management is more interested in hanging employees out to dry to cover themselves than to stand up for their teams. There is constant reorganization with no understanding or competence for long term strategy or business development. Unrealistic growth targets given by senior management regardless of market conditions. Many of the senior management have been grandfathered or transferred from other roles and have no experience in people management or in the business segment.
