Pros
The biggest pro of CommonBond, without question, is the people. If you work with great people you:
a) Learn more
b) Enjoy your day more
c) Find yourself intellectually challenged
I've found that CommonBond has delivered on all 3 of these (which they told me would be the case when I interviewed). Even though we've grown a ton (especially in the last 6 months), all the new people we're hiring seem consistently bright, friendly, and incredibly hardworking.
Beyond that, as a startup, I really like the energy here and the environment...people are working hard but interactions with people are relaxed and friendly, no matter what their level/title is.
Lastly, I love our Social Promise....the company did a really cool trip where we took several of our borrowers and team members to Ghana to see the students we're helping...it's something really inspiring that I havent experienced at any previous company I've been at.
Cons
It's a startup so it can be a bit chaotic at times...that said, I think that that may just be a startup thing. Priorities can shift quickly and you need to be able to keep up.
We work really hard...we do it because we really enjoy what we do, but I think it's worth saying that if you come to CommonBond you should expect to put in significant time into your role.
