Pros
I have found that the people I have worked with on a day-to-day basis have been pretty alright. However - as I will expound under Cons - the management has made it impossible to continue working here.
Cons
Workplace politics and micromanagement were the norms — be prepared to be thrown into battle at this workplace. The CEO of this company is by far the worst that I've ever had the displeasure of working for who hates accepting suggestions or admitting even little critiques, and often prefers blaming and belittling other employees. He takes everything personally and seems to enjoy making his employees feel small and insignificant. This is on top of his generally unprofessional behavior, and the kind of vindictive behavior I didn’t expect to see after middle school, which demoralizes the team and hurts productivity. Apart from day-to-day assignments, no one has any sense of teamwork or any larger strategy or vision. Praise, guidance, and interpersonal engagement — hallmarks of good management — are in short supply, while mistakes are seized upon as opportunities for humiliation in front of other coworkers. Those who truly work hard are overlooked and given excuses as to why they are not able to be promoted. The place could have potential, however, due to management, the place is pretty much falling apart.
