Thanks for sharing your experience. Albeit this is a review from 2015. I'd like to assure you that the Senior Management have taken significant steps to address the above mentioned problems.
We have planned Career Camp for all our line managers. The aim of this event is to educate them on better managing their teams, regular check-ins, staff motivation, feedback and development.
Along with a permanent Head of People and a HR Manager in Chester we have a Chief People Officer who is working very hard on defining a People Strategy that supports growth and retention.
