Pros

Location is good, benefits are good, people are nice/friendly for the most part, you will actually learn something.

Cons

Where do I begin... Asian owned company doing contract manufacturing for other corporations. First off, I would like to say, I understand that contract manufacturing companies are all probably similar to this company, and I understand that. Secondly, Just want to provide some knowledge that may help somebody that is considering to join this company. Also, I do believe that the international factories and divisions have it a lot worse than the US branches. The pay is not good for the amount of work put into working at this company. The pay at best can range to the "fair" amount once gained experience, however it is still not worth the amount of energy it requires to sustain all the aspects of your job. Overtime is expected, which is understandable, but I did not expect overtime to be like this. Every day, I show up to work at 8:30-9am. Mostly around 9 am, I do not get to leave until 7 pm at the earliest time. Average time I leave the office is 7:30 pm. The company will not consider coming in to work later at 10 am, and if you have not shown up for work at 10 am, expect a supervisor phone call. This is a little outrageous to me as the employees here easily work 45-50 hours a week, and it is still extremely busy. Company is HIGHLY understaffed, and the employees are not paid too well. In the past 3 months, 3 employees have left the company. If each department received 1 or 2 more persons for help, this job would be great. Need to contact international factories daily, and I understand the time difference. Which is an important reason as to why the employees need to stay so late at the office. However, if this is protocol to have daily conversations with international teams, need to highly consider new operating hours. Pay is salary based, so no overtime pay. Company expects you to work once you are home. Expects you to check your email at home, and be on skype at home. I have not done that too often because I do not believe in working for 24 hours as a fair thing to be doing. Also, company expects you to be able to join conference calls on your Sunday, which is extremely unfair. I participate because I have no other choice. It is highly discouraged to leave work after 8 hours, need to stay for 9-10 hours. For example, first week at the job, I announced I was leaving at 6:30 for the day (I have arrived to work at 8:30 that day), I had finished all my work, and one of my supervisors said, "Its the first week, I guess you can leave early." Supervisors will sometimes actually stop you from leaving the office after a long work day so you may continue to work on other projects. One supervisor i know requested for time off a couple of months prior to the actual date. He requested it for the Christmas Holiday and New Years Holiday to spend time with his family. 1 week prior to the effective date, his superior informed him he will not be taking the holiday. Not by choice. He informed him he must be on a flight to an international factory and have meetings. After he requested time off, got the "okay" and planned all his flight tickets and hotels. He was forced to not take his vacation and work during the holiday. These are just some of the problems in the company that I have personally experienced, and still experience. In a nut shell, stay away from this company if you have other options. If this is your last option, it is still a decent place to gain some experience. But once you gain enough experience, I suggest you leave for "greener pastures" quickly.
