Pros

GEM Technology International Corp, helped me secure a contract with an area employer. Benefits are decent and it was always a pleasure to work with their corporate administrative staff in HR and Payroll.

Cons

Sometimes contracts run out of money and they end prematurely, but despite the setback, GEM brought me back on once the position re-opened.

Pros

Better than no job, I suppose

Cons

The President\CEO is responding to reviews as if people have no business talking about their REAL LIFE EXPERIENCES in working for this company. Stating "this employee was obviously removed from the contract" is a blatant lie. I was that employee and I QUIT after they cut my salary by 7k, & told me it was because they couldn't afford to maintain the salaries due to their "low bid". Their was confusion because they had a "PM?" who didn't even know who her employees were. She arranged a visit to a site, had 4 employees waiting to meet her and then STOOD US UP. She left town and didn't tell us she wasn't coming to meet us. Left us waiting...We waited for 90 minutes and then had to track her down on her cell phone and she didn't know who we were. Said she couldn't call and tell us she wasn't coming because she didn't have our names or contact info. Really?? They can try and spin the reviews all they want. They can't tell me what MY experience was or accuse me of being fired.

At GEM we strive to hire positive employees who will provide good services and support to the Federal client. I am sorry you had a bad experience when your contract was consolidated and rebid due to budget constraints. No reason to blame the company who came and under a very difficult transition period. The contract is running well today with very few vacancies and very positive employees.
