Pros

None, I found it to be some sort of utopia.

Cons

The company is growing at a fast pace and hires a lot of new talent who not necessarily follow or even behave anywhere close to the values listed in the company handbook. I've never seen worse disorganisation and unprepared managers than at GitLab but I believe there are some better structured and reasonable teams within the organisation than the one I had the misfortune to be a part of. The all-remote concept seemed to be backfiring in my department and instead of collaboration I had experienced hostility, ignorance and even virtual bullying so that someone else could get on with their agenda or get away with their lack of preparedness. It's all easily applied as there are people there who clearly think they can afford these behaviours as they won't have to ever see you face to face. I've decided to quit because this was the worst experience in my career and just not worth my time. On a side note, the people experience team forgot to have an exit interview with me hence here's my feedback especially since my manager was not interested to hear it either.

Pros

Used to be great company, talented people, amazing culture.

Cons

The company is becoming a sinking ship. New layer of VPs and CTO that drive the company downhill.
