Pros

The team is really motivated, friendly and kind, besides very open minded, intelligent and inspiring. They were always open to consider my opinion with genuine attention and care, and to review their own opinions and aims for the project based on my considerations. So one feels that one's voice and opinion is valued and that one can have a say in the tasks and outcomes. The team is also very updated and aware, as they follow-up the news and critical articles closely, constantly thinking on how current developments would affect the political, social and economic contexts the company works with. They are interesting people to talk to, as they have good social awareness, nice cultural repertoire and a progressive mindset. Owing to this open-minded, dynamic and proactive spirit, they also adapt very quickly to unforeseen changes and keep a good energy even when the contexts change drastically. In general the team tends to be very optimistic and this is a good motivation for an employee. Additionally, there is a lot of flexibility and autonomy for the employees to build their own work routine and pace, so it is a job that can fit multiple types of people and schedules, easy to combine with personal and social commitments outside of work. In this dimension, the team is also very understanding to reschedule and reshape tasks and deadlines according to employees' feedback. Another highlight is the company's positive relation with government bodies, charities and the private sector, allowing one to easily navigate through these varied stakeholders and even to break eventual stereotypes about their works. Furthermore, employees are constantly invited to read insightful materials and this provides a good environment for one's personal growth.

Cons

The work style is very autonomous/independent, so for people who are not used to working independently this can be a bit challenging at the beginning. This was not exactly my case, so such autonomy and flexibility were actually a pro for me, as they might be for many other potential employees. Still, Rich and Joss seem to be open and willing to give closer and further guidance if the person requests so. Moreover, as it is a small team working mostly on specific fixed-term projects, the prospects for career progression within the company itself tend to be a bit limited. Still, one has the opportunity to engage with prominent high-level stakeholders throughout the work, and therefore build a good network for future career prospects.
