Pros

- good exposure to chinese company and energy industry

Cons

- Overtime culture (at least on my dept) - Didn'tt have a clear instruction - Managers/supervisors tend to shift responsibilities and frequently change their decisions or expectations. - Employees are sometimes required to work on weekends or public holidays (paid overtime). - Poor relationships or conflicts among coworkers. - Often structural changes - Limited guidance and support, especially for fresh graduates.

Pros

Health insurance is decent. Paycheck actually comes.

Cons

If you aren't part of the small in crowd you will get thrown under the bus. Deadlines are promised to externals without reviewing feasibility, equipment status, staff availability, tooling. Reimbursements takes months, and finance is micromanaged. You will be forced to figure everything out on your own with next to no support from the experts other than getting sent to a chat that is unresponsive. You will have meetings at all hours of the day/night. You will be expected to carry multiple employee's worth of work, including outside your job scope/ knowledge base. US management has power in appearance only. Management does not support their employees and capitulates anytime there is a demand from both customers and headquarters, no matter how unreasonable. President is never around, but still manages to micro-manage, especially purchasing, finance and hiring. If you are not male or Chinese your expertise does not matter. Town is still trying to kick the company out even after 2+ years.
