Pros

- The employees at High Fidelity are some of the kindest, funniest, committed, and passionate people I know. - Our team is also pretty diverse in gender, age, ethnicity, and sexual orientation which I much appreciate. - I would describe the executive team as having an appropriate mix of vision and practicality. - I feel like I have a lot of autonomy in my role and am trusted to get my job done without being micromanaged - Ability to acquire whatever gear I need to get my job done/be more productive. - I feel like I am constantly learning new things about our product and the industry. - We have a great selection of snacks and catered team lunch on Fridays. - Our product has the potential to revolutionize the future of social networks, education, travel, business, and many other industries. - Flexible PTO and respect for your time outside of work.

Cons

- There are some company wide communication issues across teams despite an effort to be a pretty transparent company. I think a lot of this has to do with the standard pains associated with growing a company though. - Prior to this year, we did not have a formal review process which made the path for career development and raises pretty unclear but I think that has been addressed. - Wish we had a few more benefits like more than one health plan to choose from and a flexible spending account

Thanks for sharing your feedback, and for all the happy thoughts. Yep - as you pointed out, we are definitely going through some classic startup growing pains. I know we have more work to do, but hopefully we are on the right track to addressing communication challenges with some of our recent work like OKRs and more regular all-hands meetings, and a more formal review process. I think there is more I can also do to communicate about strategy and design, going to try some new ideas there. Thanks for your thoughts on benefits, too, your input is valued.
