Poor management with a clear lack of upward mobility. Rampant problem of brain drain in the news room due to this lack of upward mobility. Reporters gain their experience here and leave, because they have better opportunities elsewhere. Senior management, in general, has been around for a long time and doesn't seem keen on allowing others to join the ranks. I also encourage you to google the executive salaries listed in their tax filings. Separately, like most news organizations, this one also takes advantage of underpaid interns.
