1/ Local company with a diverse work portfolio and a good pension. 2/ Everyday is different with a challenging but rewarding tasks. 3/ Nice small company atmosphere with many decent, helpful and hard working employees. 4/ Improvements in the working environment on a macro scale with the new senior management.
Cons
1/ Very cliquey in the maintenance department, where nepotism is an issue. 2/ The vestiges of the old maintenance management still prevail making for a toxic work environment. 3/ Almost 30 maintenance technician have left in the last few years - revolving door. 4/ Top heavy in the maintenance department with conflicting work requests and every changing tasks being set. 5/ Maintenance department is dysfunctional and at breaking point- constant chaos. 6/ Ever changing shift rosters. 7/ Little or no training/ up skilling and promotional opportunities in the maintenance department for those not in the old elite clique. 8/ Very low morale in the maintenance department. 9/ Poor product pipeline- old low margin products. 10/New product launch failing to meet expectations- poor sales. 11/ Products being moved to new production sites- lower site volumes going forward.
