Pros
I'm writing this review not immediately after leaving, but after taking time to process my experience so that my assessment is factual and thoughtful rather than emotional. Remote work opportunity - The flexibility of working remotely is genuinely valuable. Depends heavily on your team/manager - If you get the right manager, you can have a decent experience doing your work. Exposure to global talent - You do meet talented people from across the world. However, due to extremely high attrition and intense pressure, there's minimal opportunity to learn from each other or cross-pollinate knowledge.
Cons
CONS: Lack of Professional Structure: This is a small-scale family business run by father, son, daughter-in-law, and aunt. While they attract talented professionals globally through remote positions, they lack the management expertise to lead them effectively. Zero systems or processes in place for anything. Operations are shabby and haphazard from day one. Outdated employee handbook with no clear policies on holidays, grievances, or professional standards. Leadership Issues: "My way or highway" mentality - leadership will listen to everyone's input but never implement it, proceeding only with what they feel is right regardless of facts or expertise. CEO lacks genuine business vision and relies excessively on ChatGPT for ideas, document reviews, and strategic direction instead of leveraging the experienced professionals on the team. Don't be fooled by the CEO's LinkedIn profile - it's GPT-written, not authentic. Direction changes constantly based on casual friend suggestions or trends the CEO sees, without assessing whether the company has capability or resources to execute. Work Environment: Excessive micromanagement with zero autonomy - you cannot create your own plans, set your own goals, or work independently. No KPIs or performance metrics ever established for team members. Team members are essentially puppets regardless of designation or years of experience. Only two people make decisions: the Chief of Staff and CEO. Toxic Communication Culture: HR changes every month, making grievance redressal impossible. CEO uses profanities, indecent language, and makes racist remarks on Zoom calls with zero accountability. Unprofessional communication is normalized from the top down. No psychological safety - raising any concerns results in immediate termination (anywhere from 15 minutes to 5 days). Zero Job Security: Extremely high attrition rate for a reason. Pattern of hiring talent in January and terminating by November to avoid performance bonuses. People are terminated without any explanation or reasons given. Exits are degrading - long-term employees fired in 15 minutes and immediately removed from all systems as if they're security threats. You're asked to work on 5-year strategies and next-year plans, then terminated without cause. No Growth or Learning: CEO uses ChatGPT to review and rate documents created by experienced professionals rather than providing informed guidance. Absolutely no learning opportunities for new joiners or even senior executives. High-pressure environment prevents knowledge sharing among the talented people who do join. Mental Health Impact: Zero consideration for employee wellbeing. While remote work seems flexible initially, problems begin from day 2. The constant fear, lack of direction, and toxic culture take a serious toll.
