It's union, Case Managers have their own offices, their is alot of self management and autonomy. Case Managers are payed a livable wage.
Cons
Managers are stretched thin between alot of sites and promotions are hard to come by, the operations management system is corrupt and covers up wrong doings by other management in operations. Dealing with operations is difficult but fortunately they're not managing case managers but it sucks to see how their staff are treated in the shelter. Theirs not alot of growth opportunities for shelter staff and minimal training often just online moduals. Alot of sites have this weird mentality about not handing out narcan so that people don't think it's a hub for narcan. Absolutely crazy to be a low barriers shelter that had to fight to even have narcan on-site let alone needle containers. The operations manage brought his best friend to work who knew our clients it was a hippa violation and wildly uncomfortable. mold in the building is so bad multiple staff have developed a cough that won't go away.
