Work between 50–80 hours per week while receiving compensation for only 40 hours, resulting in uncompensated labor and significant imbalance between effort and pay. Be required to remain on call for 48 consecutive hours at a time on a recurring weekly basis, creating continuous work-related obligations even during designated personal time. Experience a complete erosion of social and family life due to excessive work demands and unpredictable scheduling expectations. Function with chronic sleep deprivation caused by extended hours, overnight responsibilities, and the inability to disconnect from work obligations. Operate under leadership characterized by intimidation, volatility, and authoritarian control, where communication is fear-based rather than collaborative, and where dissenting viewpoints or professional input are discouraged or penalized.
