Pros

There were no pros worthy of a mention.

Cons

The way the two managing directors speak to their staff is disgusting, they feel that because they pay our wages it means that they treat them however they please, they make personal remarks and generally create such a toxic atmosphere it makes it unbearable to work. Another issue is they don't grasp the concept of paying for time spent undertaking work duties such as travelling, it wasn't uncommon to be on the road at 6am and back at gone 8pm which wasn't ever given back in lieu or paid. I could understand if this was a one off every now and then but it was every week. I was genuinely so excited to work with the company and have never been so disappointed with the outcome, their reputation is not great to begin with either working with or for the company but I would strongly advise anyone to seriously reconsider before working there.

Pros

team members - really good team on production floor/warehouse. also some good upstairs too.

Cons

worked for NSF for over 5 nearly 6 years. started part time, then was told the person they employed who gave me that job shouldn't of gave me them hours. so I had to change to suit them, which I did. (meaning putting my son into nursery) (working for pennies) huge staff turnover, id be lying if I didn't say it was a toxic environment, but I managed to always stay away from the toxity. 5 years on, covering production manager when she was off, still on minimum wage. went back on 0 hour contract after maternity leave, to get told I couldn't have certain days off, even though I was giving them plenty of notice, me being me I still obliged and worked. thinking if I looked after the company, they would look after me. sad thing is I enjoyed the work, it's a "tell you what you want to hear" company. do not be fooled, like I was. if something goes wrong upstairs and goes into production, it's our fault, even if we point it out. no one takes the blame, always pointing fingers. no organisation in planning, buying and production plans so always running around and half finishing jobs. the good workers they take the Micky out of, rather then acknowledging them and putting them in a path to progress, they expect results with no training, if you can't deliver the impossible, you're no good for this company. such a huge staff turnover, can never keep the same team, says something itself. in all fairness never had a problem with the owners, always been nice. but for them to acknowledge what's happened to me recently and not do anything about it, is a big red flag. always had high hope for NSF, take this advice from someone who's stuck through it and been there for years, they'll love you for a while. then you're nothing the next. I've put my heart, sweat and tears to NSF, and recently been treated like I was a complete nobody. don't be fooled, if you're going to work here, expect to get taken the Micky out of, get told off for doing something you think is right, and be given false promises and hope. sad really as theres a lot of hard and motivated workers within the team, who do not get recognized. instead, they leave quietly because they simply can not be fudged with the toxic environment anymore.
