A few months ago you couldn't find a single engineer who had anything negative to say about working for octopus, unfortunately the changes in the past couple of months have completely changed this.
Most engineers are very experienced in the industry and joined octopus on a much lower salary as a non micromanaged work style and comfortable work load was the benefit. Now you are expected to do 5,6,7, jobs a day to the highest standard of install in the industry, start and finish times being scrutinised, no time allowance in day to charge and sort stock. A very small asset bonus is paid from the 7th meter (or the overtime hours if gone over shift you don't get both!
Ev upskilling promised to all with with a bug fan fare this been put on hold until further notice.
Honestly burn out and stress is very common now when talking between engineers, it's such a shame as it really was faultless prior to this, you had a skip in your step each day now its dread looking at what work you have the next day.
