Pros
You will learn the Microsoft Power Platform inside and out. If you want to be a low-code/no-code consultant, this is a good place to do it.
Cons
As a current developer here, I have to be blunt with anyone considering a technical role at Penthara Do not join this company if you want a career in software engineering. Here is the truth of what happens, which I have watched unfold with multiple interns: 1. The company advertises for "Software Developer Interns (React)" and conducts coding interviews. This is a lie. The moment you are hired, you will not write a single line of React. Your job will be 100% low-code/no-code development using MS Power Apps, Power Automate, and SharePoint. Your coding skills will die here. 2. The reason the hiring process is so strange is that they do not understand the roles they are hiring for. I have heard leadership confuse basic concepts, like suggesting "React can be a backend." They cannot tell the difference between a real, full-stack application and a simple front-end project using local storage. There is no technical mentorship here for a real developer. 3. There is a clear, cynical pattern. Interns are hired for coding, forced to train on the Power Platform, and then put through a series of "assessments" that are not in their contract. Management then uses these "assessments" and justify cutting their promised stipend or forcing them out. It's a dishonest way to get cheap, temporary labor. 4. Do not trust a single verbal promise from HR or senior management. They will lie to your face and deny it later. There is an active effort to suppress negative reviews, while 5-star reviews are from current employees who are pressured to write them you can see a bunch of 5 star reviews without any comments on Google within a very short span of time 😂 that is the proof that they are trying to hide something and they are forcing their employees to write 5 star reviews for the company. Even though those employees have been there in penthara all this time they haven't given it 5 star rating and now suddenly they want to give it 5 stars 🤔.
