Awesome clients - you get to talk to amazing, passionate people who live all around the world every day. Learning new skills - as with any startup, you get to wear a ton of hats. Huge opportunity to be creative and test out innovative approaches. I went from never having made a sale in my life to dealing with multi million dollar companies and negotiating with CEOs on a daily basis, as well as proposing and implementing new processes. Things move quick!

Not everything is figured out for you. You need to investigate, test, learn and iterate. You're selling a new product to a niche market, so if you're not a people person and persistent, the sales/support department is not for you. There is obviously risk associated with working at a startup. If you're not a top performer, there is no place for you. If you don't put in the hours and work smart, you won't earn a lot of money.

Having freedom also means having to be responsible and organized: Sometimes tasks can pile up quicker than they get done. Best solutions to challenges are not always readily available, sometimes you need to figure it out yourself.
