Pros

Fair compensation (only fair due to ungodly working hours - comparable to investment banking), and non-monetary benefits are somewhat better than most FMCG within the region

Cons

- Led by boomer mentality with unnecessary quirks if you leave by 6pm; say they are innovative to staff welfare but that's just corporate speak without much action - Leadership is highly dependent on who is your reporting manager, many are questionable.. - Advancement is theoretically slow to mid-management level (Level 3) which only happens when someone leaves the company. Even then you are sucked into ridiculous politics due to homogenous racial concentration in the upper levels

Pros

Many intelligent people who are experts in their fields who are willing to help and provide advice (if they have time). Decent benefits and pay.

Cons

I mentioned time because many people are stretched and overworked. Work life balance is pretty bad and shows no signs of improvement. A lot of this can be attributed to near useless management. Every project is treated as absolute maximum priority but can still be dropped at a moment's notice. Work processes are horribly cumbersome and slow. Even small changes require many approvals but there are endless demands to "move faster".
