Pros

You get to build your own book of business. Paid biweekly and paid commission once a month, I think it's about 13%.

Cons

Difficult to sell products at high premium prices. The niche we work with on a daily basis requires strong communication skills and knowledge of the financial services and health care trades. Many people who have been working here for years have corporate accounts so it is difficult to sell to qualified prospects who have the marketing dollars. Must be able to gain trust and respect within first 30 seconds of phone call. Minimal inbound call activity. The database has not been updated for over 10 years. Location sucks, you have to drive 15 minutes to get anywhere or else you better walk to the Waterside cafe by the Chase building.

Tone deaf leadership at the top level focused more on self preservation than actually building a world class marketing organization. Private equity. Benefits.
