Pros
9-day fortnight. On-site cafeteria. New facility. Pay is well above normal
Cons
The most corrupt place I have ever seen. Management staff seem to do little work. Hours each day spent chatting amongst themselves. Just taking the company for a ride, while Australian taxpayers foot the bill. Near-zero disciplinary action against poorly performing subordinates. Staff taking cigarette breaks throughout the day, often 2 or 3 times between each official break period. Staff gathering in the cafeteria having breakfast while on shift. Planners go on holidays for weeks together leaving nobody to do their job. Warehouse is a mess. Parts for production are delayed by months and parts not required for months are sent instead. Layout of the production floor is terrible. No easy way to move heavy materials around and to call it a production line is a joke. Too many office staff working from home without notice, such as engineers, leaving production crew without needed input or advice. Many team members on the floor have nothing to do for days at a time, wasting time and money. Online timekeeping systems fail often and are overly complex. No clock in-out system, even though employees have ID cards needed to open doors around the place. It could easily double as a time-keeping device.
