Pros

There was opportunity for overtime reguarly probably because staff would reguarly go sick due to stress. The technology worked well in the new HQ.

Cons

During my entire time with South East Coast Ambulance Service I was made to feel absolutely miserable. My Manager (EOCM) spoke about me behind my back to other staff members on a regular basis. We would be dangerously short staffed on a daily basis which put patients lives at risk. There was never enough ambulances on shift and the ones that were on shift were so old and used that they reguarly broke down. If people raised concerns over patient safety in the control room it would all be swept under the rug. The EOCM would reguarly text young staff members outside of work hours and maintain inappropriate relationships with them. The manager of the training team targetted people he didn't like and failed them on assesments to make sure they didn't get promoted. Working there made me consider self harmimg. The managers were nasty and manipulative. The Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) reguarly breaks down which further puts patients at risk.
