Pros

Strong culture of peer-to-peer support.

Cons

Management lacks understanding of frontline operations. Decisions are made in service of achieving metrics with little value given to achieving program goals (providing housing assistance to those in need) and maintaining program integrity (preventing fraud and program abuse).

Pros

No real pros, maybe medical benefits but those were severely cut.

Cons

This organization is a textbook example of a toxic workplace. Management issues exist at every level, from the bottom to the top, and poor communication is pervasive throughout the company. The culture fosters backstabbing and blame-shifting rather than collaboration or accountability. Work-life balance is virtually nonexistent, and HR engages in questionable, at times unethical, practices that prioritize protecting the company over supporting employees. Hiring practices seem deliberately designed to target individuals who feel they cannot easily leave, effectively trapping them. Outdated and archaic business approaches further weaken the organization’s ability to adapt, ultimately failing both clients and the communities who rely on its services. Extremely weak union as well.
