Pros

There are opportunities for hands on learning.

Cons

I genuinely don’t know how this company has a positive review. They are horrible at managing money and are constantly in a cycle of hiring and then firing or laying off people. There is no job security unless you are close to members of senior leadership. Also, projects are consistently delivered late and over budget. There are also little quality or safety controls in place.

Pros

Lots of opportunity to learn and work on ground-up designs. Positive financial outlook. Good people.

Cons

Priorities can be volatile and customer-driven due to the company’s smaller size.

Pros

There were some team members that were genuinely talented and good to work with.

Cons

Working at Stafl Systems was the most disappointing and quite frankly, degrading experience of my career. I left a stable job for this opportunity based on promises that were never kept. Trust and decision making power is reserved for a small inner circle that the CEO allows to disrespect any and all employees that may be "beneath" them. Despite promoting roles as hybrid, I was required to be in office full time as soon as I started even though I was very up front in the interview process that I needed flexibility. Leadership constantly hires and fires but won’t let anyone actually do the job they were hired for because they don't trust anyone in their systems. There's a clear lack of trust in anyone outside the favored few. But they still expect you to work 10-12 hour days with nothing to do since they won't allow it. They would strictly give people shoutouts for working longer hours, not for the actual work they were doing. There's also a consistent pattern of sexism that makes the culture feel even more toxic. I went to my manager about this and told her specific examples because it became too much and she basically told me to suck it up and that's what they do around here. If you're looking for a stable, supportive, and honest workplace, keep looking, because this isn’t it.
