Pros

Good location and amenities; reasonably friendly atmosphere including staff activities; opportunities to move forward in the business...

Cons

...or be kept firmly in your place and left feeling unappreciated; not interested in retaining staff, or particularly in nurturing their talents, especially if a small outlay of cash is required. Office politics are rife and utterly tedious.

Pros

Great work/life balance, reliable teamwork and support from management, opportunities for growth and exposure to new skills.

Cons

Coaching/overseeing a team in itself has a set of cons, which is what I primarily handle on a daily basis. This comes with any job, but you will have people on your team who need to improve on things such as lack of communication, lack of effort, no work ethic, and lack of skills. Motivating them can be difficult at times, and then you always seem to have a few who do things to avoid work. An accumulation of all these factors subsequently creates more, unnecessary, and redundant work for us. These types of people tend to eliminate themselves out over time due to poor performance and/or quit.
